How to Use Upload Studio on Xbox One
I'm in the same boat every bit the original poster. Upload studio support was stopped and i tin't even trim a video in the xbox app. I also have no way to join videos any longer. Why was this app removed,? I understand there'due south no support, there hasnt been for years at present but the app still worked well for the most role. This actually sucks and sharing clips and montages with friends is no longer possible on xbox.

Okay, and then while investigating the consequence, I came across a website that referred to a message Microsoft had sent out to Xbox Live users.
(Embarrassingly plenty, I didn't fifty-fifty notice until I read nearly it on that site. So, I checked my letters and there information technology was.
(This is the message I received on nine/21/2020)
"Thanks for playing on Xbox. This fall, we're replacing Upload Studio with a new share experience available via the Xbox app on mobile. You tin still trim your game clips from the Capture & share tab in the console guide, and with the new experience on mobile it's unproblematic to manage your uploaded captures and share them to pop social media sites."

This is sooooooo frustrating. Xbox seems to take decided it's ok to continually remove functionality. First, they removed the ability to share recorded PC gameplay. This also removed the ability to edit Xbox clips from PC. And then, I was heavily reliant on trimming on the Xbox, but the "new" way has never worked for me. 100% of the fourth dimension, it gets stuck. So, I always used Upload Studio. Now, that doesn't work either. I'thousand heavily involved in an Xbox Club, only now it's pointless. If I want to share, I have to share a 2 minute prune, and tell them to go to a specific minute marker? STUPID! Also, now I can't edit recordings straight from Xbox Alive. And so, once they are no longer on my Xbox, I'g screwed (that'south assuming I even could use the broken, only method to trim, at present).

I concord! I can't sympathise why, only information technology's as if Microsoft doesn't want Xbox to have user anymore. PC already has such an advantage in every fashion over xbox. Why take abroad the few lilliputian crappy features we had left!? Seriously! And Microsoft just keeps stripping it more & more. I use to love Microsoft merely within the final few years, I'm highly disappointed with their path they've decided to take catering solely to PC & the fail they now prove for the loyal xbox users they've had for many years.

In regards to the editing.... accept you found anything withal to edit your videos on xbox? I can't discover anything. I have the same issue when attempting to trim my videos, itll terminate half way threw, my screen turns black & that'south it. Upload studio wasn't the best, only it yet let us trim & edit with a handful of editing options.
All I but want is to trim & upload some gaming clips. That's it. Nix fancy, not trying to make a moving picture for YouTube....I merely wanna postal service some clips on xbox. Lol
Why is that so difficult? Why can't a multibillion dollar company make that happen? Or improve even so, why continue taking from Xbox? And so pissed off with Microsoft. Lol. I actually am.

I prefer playing on PC, but with a young family, information technology's hard to go into a computer game. Information technology'south much easier to play a panel game. My son loves sitting on my lap while I'm playing games.
It would exist abrasive if they removed your preferred style of editing, only they've gone beyond that, and made information technology impossible to edit at all. That's more than abrasive, it feels about evil.

I still accept non found a solution. I even reset my Xbox, assuming at that place was just something corrupt, but after resetting, I still get the issue of the black screen afterwards attempting to trim video clips. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

I believe setting the recording resolution to 720p makes information technology a niggling easier to edit using the "new" style. Tends to freeze/crash less often. But it still does it from time to time.
I don't know what's so new about it, that crappy starting time-aid editor was in that location I call up always. Upload Studio was way better. Equally someone said, not perfect but gave us a lot of options. I'd expect it to be updated for Series S/X, non buried like then many other useful or creative projects they abandoned.
